  • 1. Prepare the Water:
       *Boil fresh water: Use filtered water for the 
         best flavor. 
       *Bring to a rolling boil: Herbal teas are 
         generally prepared with very hot water to 
         extract the flavors effectively. 

    2. Add the Herbs:
    *Use loose herbs or tea bags: If using loose herbs, measure about 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces of water, or adjust to your preference. 
    *Place the herbs in a cup or teapot: You can use a tea infuser, tea ball, or simply add the herbs directly to your cup. 

    3. Steep the Tea:
    *Pour the boiling water over the herbs: Cover the cup or teapot to help retain heat and flavor. 
    *Allow the tea to steep: For most herbal teas, a steep time of 5 minutes or longer is recommended.
    *Adjust steep time based on the herbs: Certain herbs, like ginger or turmeric, can be steeped for longer periods for a stronger flavor. 
    *Remove herbs: Strain the tea or remove the herbs after steeping. 

    4. Serve and Enjoy:
    *Sweeten to taste: Add honey, sugar, or other sweeteners if desired. 
    *Serve hot or cold: Herbal teas can be enjoyed either way. Serve with lemon or milk: Some people prefer to add lemon or milk to their herbal tea, but this is optional.
