Herbs have incredible beneficial properties for the skin. A facial steam is a great way for the skin to soak in the herbs. It is suggested to take a few moments to connect to the plants – smell them, touch them, and reflect on their medicinal and spiritual attributes. Don't forget to speak your intentions into your herbal blend!
Face Steam Directions:
Select your herb(s):
Choose one of our herbal blends based on your skin type and needs.
Boil water: Boil 4 cups of filtered water.
Prepare Herbs: Add 2 tablespoons of the dried herb mixture to a bowl. Pour the boiling water over the herbs, cover the bowl, and let it steep for 5-10 minutes
Create a steam tent: Carefully place the bowl on a heat-safe surface. With a towel draped over your head and the bowl, lean over the steam. Keep your face 8–12 inches away to avoid burns.
This option is only necessary if a face steamer is unavailable. In which case you would strain the herbs from the water and place in a face steamer instead of creating a tent.
Steam your face: Remain under the towel for 5-15 minutes to allow the steam and herbal properties to work their magic.
